WoodSpect GI is an automated machine vision inspection system designed to monitor the glue distribution on the surface of the finger joints of wooden lamellas or boards, not just the glue's presence/absence.

The scanner recognizes the wrong amount and distribution of dovetail joint glue as soon as the finger joint is prepared. The system detects missing/excessive glue application, and offers warning mechanism about glue starting to run out in the glue application machine.

The tailored to application set of industrial camera and laser captures detailed images of lamella finger joints to monitor the glue distribution on them, and gets analyzed by binarization algorithms controlling multiple samples simultaneously and each lamella individually in three zones.

The system features notifications preventing glue shortages in the wood board gluing press - finger joining machine.
